Whether you’re catching up with friends or just after a quiet drink, The Sir George is the perfect watering hole for all occasions. No matter what time of the year you visit, the beer is always cold, the wine list handpicked and a cider so crisp, it will linger long after the last mouthful. You can perch yourself with ‘Sir George’ the Pheasant at the front bar, or retire to the Ladies Lounge or Whisky Lounge. Wherever you go, you will discover the rich history of this beautiful pub.

Currently during COVID restrictions, drinks are only available with a lunch or dinner reservation and nobody is allowed to be seated at the bar.  Please check back here to see when this has changed.


Fresh, local and seasonal is the philosophy of food produced at The Sir George. Whether it’s the herbs grown in the kitchen garden or ‘Cooridoone’ lamb produced only minutes down the road, our menus are constantly evolving. Our charcuterie and artisan breads are made in-house allowing our chefs to make your dining experience a truly memorable one.


We are working on reopening our restaurant!  From the 1st weekend in June we will be open during the following hours. Currently the rules state that we are only allowed 10 diners per seating.  Reservations for these dates will open on the 26th of May.

Friday 5th June – American BBQ Menu – 6pm (1.5 hrs only)& 7.30pm Seatings

Saturday 6th June * Sunday 7th June – Limited Pub Menu or Chef’s 3 Course Set Menu

  • Lunch Seatings – 11am, 12.30pm & 2pm – Seatings are for 1.5 hrs only
  • Dinner Seatings (Sat Only) – 6pm & 7.30pm Seatings are for 1.5 hrs only
